It is apparently a poor attempt at acting like they are a couple. She is now jumping in every video. So sad! Today Spencer was dropped again on a workout as he can't do workouts with everyone else, but to his credit he did a show off job, running way in front of everyone in the 300s, obviously racing them. What is going on? Is this all a publicity stunt?

These workouts are as good as or better than what he was doing at Georgetown I think. I doubt having had covid is affecting him significantly or he would mention it more often.

#2- pro runners don't make that much, Allie has a channel now & can build out her brand/following & make more $$$ during the course of her career. she seems like she likes it, and guess what? A thread that has less than 10 comments on it on this cesspool of a website doesn't speak to how people feel about their channels, which get thousands & thousands of views & give good insights into their training & the pro lifestyle.
#3- he had COVID & is punching up. You know taking a shot and trying to get better by training with a super legit group? Danny seems to actually personalize training for them and isn't afraid to pull athletes from workouts or change to shorter reps if people are struggling. That last video was a 9-11 mile tempo. He finished 9 with the group -- that was probably the plan. It never looked like he did high mileage or a lot of strength/threshold stuff at GT. He even said in a previous video that it might take 2-3 years to get as strong as pros who have been in this training program longer than he has. That's a normal progression, and good coaching to have him not do what everyone else is doing as he builds up to the workouts World Champs Finalists can handle.
This place can be beyond negative sometimes. It's cool to see inside the Brooks Beasts. I feel like I'm much more of a fan of their team now. If you don't like it, nobody is forcing you to watch.
Theyve been a couple for a while. Did you think she was just his personal cook or something? And Allie and her goofy nerdy dry sense of humor is so nice to have representing the sport when too much of it is misrepresented by negative toxic anonymous troll factories like letsrun. I remember years ago she did this hot wing eating contest/interview on instagram and it was one of the funniest things Ive ever seen. I remember thinking we need to see more of this kind of goofy humanity among elite runners. This chick needs her own channel. Glad she finally got on board.

Georgetown distance training for a guy like Spencer was: run miles in the summer, race a lot during XC offset but sharpening workouts, then indoor track and outdoor track destroy them with track workouts.

Give it time. I think it will be a year before Spencer is able to fully work out with the rest of the guys. Mackey is just focusing on upping his mileage right now, so he is just experiencing some growing pains at the moment but once he gets used to the added mileage the fitness will come. Everybody else is 2+ years into their pro careers while Spencer is fresh out of college, so he is basically a freshman competing with upper classmen.
