Congrats, Dude walked into the casino 9 whiskeys deep after a line of coke and put it all on double 0 and got lucky. You can make money gambling on stupid crap like GameStop stock and bitcoin. But for every dollar someone makes there is going to be a dollar lost for those holding the bag when reality hits. There is no financial reason why Gamestop stock should be worth anything above $0 since they don't make a profit and their business model is garbage in today's world.
Hopefully, this guy is only doing the gambling with a small amount of his portfolio which is for speculative purposes and the rest is in more sensible and safe investments. But I think history has shown us that the gamblers just throw their winnings into the next risky investment until they end up broke.

He has $13+ million now, he had $33+ million at some point yesterday still in GME, which is much smaller now. I think he actually wasn't in it for the short squeeze, but he saw the opportunity for GameStop to turn things around some months ago. If Cohen can do for Gamestop what he did for Chewey, then he might be right.

Yeah I believe he has sold $11-$13 million and has that in cash. Has somewhere between 30-50mill still invested.
He has been touting GameStop for 6 months as a value stock when it was trading around $4. I don’t know exactly but I think his original point was that it should be valued in the $10-$20 per share and he had already done well a couple months ago. His wealth just went to the next level with this crazy stuff going with Reddit people buying it as a revolt against people that short stocks. He is also “deepf*ckingvalue” on Reddit and had been talking about GameStop for awhile on there too

I hope his ducks are all in a line. Given the upending of a hedge fund and all the media coverage, there will undoubtedly be some kind of investigation by the SEC and perhaps other law authorities...
It's the nasty reality of plebeians scoring big wins like this against the upper class. With Trump in office there wouldn't be any problem, but Sleepy Joe is a different story.
Trump was all for the wealthy. That's all he ever really did. No infrastructure plan, opposition to strengthening unionization, no real industrial policy, tax cuts almost all to the wealthy, and personally outsourced to China everything he sold. Joe Biden's actions so far have been all for the little guy.

He's had a pretty strong fundamental case for the stock for over a year. Started with a 50k bet on calls ages ago. He got in when GME was trading below book value.
Clearly the company is worth more than $0. If you're so confident in that... may I suggest a short play?
