Graduate/MBA eligibility question

You have a 5 year clock to use eligibility, but you only get 4 years of xc and track (and indoors if your school has it.) So you can’t compete for your entire undergrad and mba if it is 5 years. But you can run the first 4 years and then just finish up school after, or redshirt a year at some point. You can transfer somewhere else for mba if you want, just make sure you go through the transfer portal.

Ok so when people say they're using a 5th/graduate year that means that they skipped a season at some point? You get a 5 year clock but not 5 years of eligibility? Sorry if it's a dumb question I'm just new to the game

Yes but it will be confusing for a few years due to Covid.

I wouldn’t really plan on a mba unless you plan on going to a top 10 program at this point.

Others answered your eligibility question but you should also be thinking about that.

That's correct. They redshirted one or more seasons at some point. Five year clock, four years of eligibility. So if you don't redshirt you'd get to run your three years of undergrad plus one year of grad.

The more important consideration is, unless your school's MBA is highly ranked, you might be handicapping your actual career.

Ideally you'd transfer to a highly-ranked school and using any remaining eligibility there. Any school that allows you to go right from undergrad into their MBA program is probably not a good program. It might tick the box for management at some jobs but you get way more out of an MBA when you have work experience and can apply what you've learned on the job. You only get one shot at an MBA.
