Promise us that even if you do quit running that you won’t quit LRC. I look forward to your posts.
I'm 50 and every run is my last run, plenty of injuries & aches but I love running.

The sad news of life is that age is your worst enemy in sports. It is just like how Drew Brees is going to quit because of his injuries and age. It is a hard truth to accept.

What will you do with all of the time that you used to spend running?

I am sick and tired of getting injured so often. I can't train at all if I am just going to keep getting injured. I am seriously considering hanging up my shoes now.
WOW!
I haven't been on LetsRun in almost six months.
I can't believe you're posting the EXACT SAME THREADS you were six months ago.
This is the lamest troll I've ever seen on letsrun. Standards have really fallen.
Running is a blessing. Not everyone can do it.
We take it for granted. But, it's a hard sport with lots of pounding.
I'm sorry it's not working out for you. I would take a long break and resume conservative consistent walk/ jog or try biking or swimming.

You should quit running and play soccer, or softball or something. I could easily be wrong by saying this but I don't think I've ever seen you say you enjoy running. Seriously, not once. All you ever say is that everything sucks and you're injured. Just go read a book or something man. Aspire to be an intellectual instead, the world needs smart people more than it needs runners.

What are you doing about it? Have you been working with your doctor and physical therapist to figure it out?

They couldn't figure anything out.

Except I could have been popular and had a ton of friends in school if I was good at XC early on.

And this is why you're running for the wrong reason. No matter how fast you can get, it doesn't change the fact that you're impossible to communicate with and in general are annoying, not to mention racist, bigoted, and have no understanding of basic social norms and concepts. It's difficult to befriend somebody like that.
You have this weird illusion about high school XC/TF, thinking it's your way to popularity.
a) It doesn't matter anymore, you've been out of high school for how many months? Hit the reset button and work yourself to new relations at wherever you are now.
b) High school popularity is inconsequential in the long run.
c) The popular kids may excel at sports, but they have additional abilities (like good social skills!) that get them up the ladder.
You have underlying issues other than running that need to be addressed, trolling or not. It's clear people never gave you a lot of attention at school, maybe even at home, and you're looking for attention/validation here. Every low effort reply that riles people up accomplishes that...

Yes I did . Liar.
You said in your previous thread that you were too poor to see a doctor/pt. What happened to that? (The doctor who diagnosed your stress fracture doesn't count, because it's for a different diagnosis)

If you get good at running now, then can you be popular and have a ton of friends in school?

It is too late now as I am no longer in high school.

At my school, they literally were. My high school didn't have a football team. In college, the guys on the XC team are still hot.
