If you're in Birmingham itself, Tony Hadley (Birchfield) or Mike Bennet (Birmingham Uni) would be good options. (In the UK Uni coaches often coach non-University athletes also)
If you're out to the east of the city, Stewart Marshall based out of Coventry would be an excellent option, especially for your GF - he has 2x 52 girls in that group already.
You two will surely make fast babies!

Will check on G/Earth, its a place called Sutton.
do you have any links to coaches lists?
Ah Sutton Coldfield - nice part of the city. There's a track there, but a lot of the athletes there actually train at Birchfield which is only just down the road. I'd contact Birchfield Athletics Club and see if you can get in touch with Tony Hadley. Off the top of my head there's at least one 45 guy in the group at the moment and a 49 400hurdler, but he's coached a ton of athletes to Olympic level, recent highlight probably being Mathew Hudson-Smith but in the past also the likes of Derek Redmond (who helped beat you lot in the 4x400 in Tokyo ;-) )
