Maybe a simple question but: is there any consensus on how many doubles a week you should do for them to really be effective?
I always remember being told when younger (before running) that if you went to the gym any less than 3x a week then it really doesn't have much effect because 2x/week was more maintenance/ too infrequent for growth etc. Remembering this just got me wondering if doubling only twice a week was too infrequent or not?
[For background I run about 120-130km every 6 days (1 day off a week) and 2 of those days I'll double for about 4-5Mi.]
