Hi, I'm now going into my u17 (freshman - I think I'm from the UK) year for Track and Field and I'm now looking to focus on just 1 or 2 events. I'm already seeing that I'm definitely almost certain to not make it as anything above 1500m in the future. My PRs atm are
100 - 12.42
200 - 25.95
400 - 55.38
800 - 2.06 (but definitely could go quicker ran tactical race)
1500 - 4.35 (again slower tactical race)
I've never trained to be a sprinter, I've always been in training for middle-distance and above but now I'm realising that I'm not able to compete at the top in say 1500m. So I now want to focus on below. Just wondering which is where I should be focusing. I should note I'm built a lot like a 400/800 guy im 6foot and 70kg and thats where I personally see myself but how do I go about training for a sprint and a long sprint?
