Did you run a race or time trial in 2020?
Did you run a race or time trial in 2020?
I ran 3 trail races. One in January, one in February, and one in March.
I ran 3 cross country races.
A half-marathon in February and an 8K in early March.
im a time-trialist, not a racist
An almost normal XC season, 1 indoor meet in December and 3 outdoor meets, one in the summer, one in March, one in November
Yes, one actual race in CA, and an additional 3k TT
I wanted to run a mile time trial after I found this online race competition. A person had to submit a full video of their race and the top 10 or whatever got free shoes. I just wanted the motivation to try and break 4:30. But I couldn't make an attempt as I broke my ankle in June because a puddle turned out to be a small lake hiding a huge pothole.
Nope, can't really see the point of trying to run a staged race with staggered starts and all that. Just not for me.
7 time-trials,
3 - 10km trials, all PBs (old one was 40:33, dropped to 40:20, then 39:21, then 38:33)
2 - half marathon trials, all PBs, (old was 1:42, dropped to 1:35, then 1:29)
1 - mile trial
1 - 3200 trial, PB, old was 11:55, dropped to 11:18
2 races,
half marathon in 1:25 and 1500m in 4:40
I live in Australia, where things are getting closer to normal these days.
January: HM, 10M
February: 5K, marathon
Did the virtual Boston since I had already paid but I won't do it in 2021 unless it is an actual race.
A small trail race in September.
300 participants, starting with 10 persons every minute.
Ran a 5k race in March just before the lockdown started, an 800 in July, and a solo 600m TT at the end of July. That was my best “result” of the year before getting injured and ending my season.
I started 2020 with a PR of 16:53. I ran 2 5k races, one on Jan 1st (17:20) and one on Feb 15th (16:48.6) for a new PR. Then I was limited to time trials after that.
Some Masters indoor track meets before the curve was supposed to be flattened and a 5K Turkey Trot in a centuries old nice American small town that basically said FU to its liberal governor.

Training baselines matter.

How are you pronouncing your name?
2 time trials (3000 and 5000 on track) between April and June. Both PRs
11 low-key 5k road races in southern Indiana (only 30-40) participants each) between August and December.
Indoor still happened so yes. Haven’t raced since February, however.
I flew to Atlanta to watch the trials and did the hobby jogger half marathon the day after
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
