This is kind of all over the place but I'm hoping I can get some insight. I'm a high school senior, and I would call myself an average track athlete. I lost my junior spring season because of covid, but I trained pretty hard for 15 weeks, although I have nothing to show for it. I also got the flu partway through my junior indoor season so my last healthy race was January 11th, 2020, almost a year ago. I'm looking at colleges and academically, the ones that are good fits for me happen to have strong d3 programs. I know I'm not a recruited athlete but I want to know if I can walk on to teams like WashU, Emory, Tufts, JHU, and Case Western.
My prs are listed below, but take them with a grain of salt because they are about a year old.
1 mile: 5:00 (indoors, banked track)
1k: 2:58 (indoors, banked track)
800: 2:17 (from sophomore spring)
I played soccer in the fall all 4 years so I don't have any xc times.
Also, where I live, we won't start a track season until February so I'm 4 weeks into a long buildup, and between that and last spring, I expect to be significantly fitter than I've been in the past.
