I bought a cheap one that looks like the one Bekele uses, and tried it on my intervals the other day. Man, did I fly. I was doing 3.30 pace like it was no biggie, and I was wearing a mediocre running shoe that I bought for 40 bucks almost a year ago.
I am donating all those stupid short shorts, and gonna stock up more tight/compression shorts of different colours!!

3:30 pace is no biggie. Be a man and buy quarter tights then you get 3:00 pace.

Emaciated 5'2" distance runners look ridiculous in half tights. If you must proceed, check the youth section for garments that may not be as baggy on your stick-like limbs.
What do you consider to be half tights? If I am going to wear compression gear, I want it to be all the way tight as in super tight. Half tight really doesn't seem like it would do much for me. I generally train wearing loose clothing that gives me extra breathability and comfort and save the tights for racing. I don't even know what I would use something that is half tight for.
