Last yr during a race a competitor told me "just let me know when you want to put the hammer down" anyway when it came time he faded badly and was no where to be seen after the race. Any more trash talking stories...

There are those who think they're good: they trash talk.
There are those who know they're good: they let their actions do the talking.
while running a collegiate race, don sage turned and started taking a piss on me in the middle of a race...
then he goes, "hey you dont think im mexican, do you?"
In high school I pulled up next to Alan Webb, then accelerated. He took his shoe off and threw it at me. I looked back and he was walking off the course. I'm serious.
Gabe to El G before the race with chili pepper hand gestures: "I'm going to f*ck you up!" (a la Point Break)
John Von Scoyoc from Miami of OH used to talk trash during cc races. He was talented too, hit the provisional in the 10,000m. However, he was an @sshole. Our whole team thought so too. At a track meet he laughed his head off after a team mate went down in the steeple then little Johnny proceeded bust his balls every lap afterward. A real prick!

If you're actually RACING you are likely lacking the oxygen to talk in the first place.
In an indoor mile at Kent, Mount Union's Dave Cooper pulled up beside me, looked over at me and started running his mouth after we came off the last turn. I passed him back with about 20m to go and ended up running 4:09. He was a few ticks back. That was my favorite indoor victory.

you killed it.
No trash talking here but I like to make small talk during the first half of the race. When the other guy quits answering, its time to take off.
