Houlihan announced that she is racing the 5K this morning on Instagram. Jesse Williams, the meet director, was on the 2 Black Runners podcast earlier this week and he said that there would be surprise entries in the 5Ks and 10Ks coming this Friday. Who do you think these surprise entries could be be??

These stupid 3 people ‘races’ on secret courses announced barely a few days before. Granted it’s Covid crap, but here we go again. A track meet and just 2 days before we hear ‘more surprises’ to be announced.
Just stupid and likely will receive zero press.
It’s no wonder the running industry is kept afloat only by mass hobbyjogging events that nobody cares about.
Vanessa & Shelby were to run the 5k & 10k legs, respectively, at the Michigan Ekiden back in October -- but BTC pulled out due to Corona exposure.
Amos Bartelsmeyer & Grant Fisher were to run that race as well -- cannot recall who the other two BTC entrants were -- so maybe they will be late entrants to this weekend's races as well.
Read elsewhere someone asking about Jenna Hutchins racing this weekend. After her Runninglane race, a post-race article mentioned her running a 5k track race in TN in two weeks -- this weekend.

Why don’t you go do something better if you don’t like it? These are last minute entries btw, whiny boy. Start lists and races have been out a fairly long time.
