Nore

Glad for her. She was great in high school and good in college. It will be tough making it as a pro though. US women have gone to a new level in the 5k. Injuries will limit her from moving up in distance past 10k. I sometimes wonder if she is a cousin to Nico Young they look and run so much alike.
Thought Hampton was already with BAA. Either way, good to see a local kid getting a shot at this level. Him & Mock will be good training partners.
Also glad to see Rohrer get a shot. Seems to have a lot of untapped potential. Will be interesting to see what distance(s) she focuses on moving forward. As has been said, the US is loaded from the 1500-10k on the women's side.
Jonas Hampton is the biggest success story ever. Letsrun should do an entire profile on him.
High school times of 4:27 and 9:43, which is mediocre at best. In college he improved nicely to 14:52 and 31:45, but far from national caliber. But then to progress to 2:12 on a tough course and 8th place at the Olympic Trials? That's insane.
Jonas' rise has been extraordinary over the past few years. He's a runner who quietly just got better and better as the distances got longer and longer. Hard worker, humble, and truly the epitome of the "blue collar" runner who is employed full time as a civil engineer while at the same competing as a national caliber marathoner.
Jonas ran in The Michigan Half Marathon last month representing BAA. This announcement is a month late.
Born for xc, 10k-half marathon. Congratulations to her!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
