I will be DJing a cross country invite.
I was told to play music during the warmup and race.
What songs should I play?

"Jump into the Fire" (Harry Nilsson)
Another One Bites the Dust
This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie
Lost boys by The 69 Eyes
Any song by Avenged Sevenfold, AFI, or Coheed and Cambria. Dream Theatre too! Oh and ACDC!
Muskrat Love......awesome warm-up song!
Anything by Merzbow or Hijokaidan or Borbetomagus or New Blockaders.
Ok, seriously, Huey Lewis. The Power Of Love.
anything by celine dion. everyone loves celine.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Titanic, that's funny. Thank you.
(God, I'm Canadian. But she's stuck in Vegas these days, eh? Good for USA!)
any others?
Ted Nuget 'fred bear'
Best warm up song ever
The one song I remember being cool during a race in high school was "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve... it's the song from that old Nike commercial that everyone loved.
"Baba O'Reilly" by the Who was our song to warm up to in high school, but those rascally kids these days would probably want Linkin Park or something.
Times have changed since 2001.
Fook, Baba O'Riely....YES...what a great warmup song!
THEY'RE ALL WASTED!!!
Damn!
You want something to get the adrenalin running so go with the classics.
vangelis- title theme from chariots of fire
survivor- eye of the tiger
vince di cola- training montage
the rocky orchestra- gonna fly now (the original one not the slow one from rocky II)
queen- another one bites the dust
queen- we will rock you
queen- we are the champions
Everybody knows those songs so they expect to hear them. Now this is where the list is going to get interesting.
cybotron- clear (if you don't know this classic juan atkins track you're one lame dj)
jega- recursion (some pulsating underated idm to mix it up, you can get this whole track free off amazon as a sample song)
the jonzun crew- we are the jonzun crew (underated electro from the 80's)
kraftwerk- expo 2000 (can't go wrong with the godfathers of modern electronic music)
kraftwerk- electro kardiogramm
zapp & roger- so ruff, so tough (a little funk)
zapp & roger- more bounce to the ounce
That's a no fail list right there, sick running music and classic dance tracks. Plus no profanity.
"We Are the World"
Shake your bon-bon by Ricky Martin
On the international level, "We're all on drugs" by Weezer...haha
I would play Magic Bus by the Who ("I'm so nervous I just sit and smile") Radar Love (a long song) by Golden Earing just prior to the race (it's a driving, repetitive beat and gets you pumped up). After the race, everyone is outside, wants to relax and celebrate, so I would go with reggae.
