Kid’s are praised for great showing of sportsmanship and so forth.
This seems like a stupid act to encourage, a kid who is unable to walk should DNF, there’s no shame in it. Get medial attention and let the others in the race finish. You are very unlikely to PR or score for your team. Just really no need to finish, accept that you are injured and don’t injure yourself further or allow another runner to ruin their own race. “Good Sportsmanship” in this situation would be getting out of the way and letting others finish.
