What do you recommend? Where I live we have cold winters, snow ice, everything.
Hoka speedgoat 4?
Nike Pegasus 37 shield?
Nike Pegasus trail 2?
Nike Pegasus 36 trail GTX?
Adidas winter ready ultra boost 20?
Thanks!

I used the pegasus 36 trail gtx for winter running last year. Great shoes. They had plenty of traction on snow and ice, while keeping my feet warm and dry.

Thanks a lot! They look like a great shoe and appear to be on sale now on the website.
Running on snow and ice.

Depends on how wintery you need. The regular Brooks Ghost has really solid traction for a road shoe. They also have a GTX version.

Thanks. I’ll check it out. The only thing I didn’t love about the ghost was the drop. 12mm is just too much.

Those look pretty cool. Thanks.

My favorite winter shoe last year was the Adidas Adios 4. Haven't tried the 5, but I still have another pair of the 4s in box. I've found it to be no worse than any of my trail shoes for grip on ice (if you want more, go with nanospikes/yaktrax or make screw shoes), and the upper dries quickly if you step in snow or slush. Just wear thick wool socks with it. I find that Boost foam stays soft in colder weather better than EVA.
I would suggest against those Nike shoes because React harden/stiffens a lot in the cold.
I would also shy away from the Adidas because the UB20 is not the best running shoe. It is very heavy for the amount of cushion you get which is also very skewed towards the heel. The TPU midsole and continental outsole are good though.
I haven't tried the Hoka.
Reebok Floatride (Pebax) and Floatride Energy (TPU) midsoles hold up well and they typically have good outsoles. The Forever Energy 2 and Symmetros should be good. Floatride Panthea and Floatride Run Fast should be fine as well. The Saucony Triumph 18 also has a warm upper, good outsole, and TPU midsole.
I tried the Ghost GTX one year and they worked great in the winter snow and spring slush. I keep them around as hiking shoes. I thought GTX was just marketing hype, but it actually did keep my feet drier.
whatever shoe you normally run in plus "yaktrax run".
Not fail safe so you still need to be careful but i used them last winter in minnesota no problem. Sometimes I'd have to stop and bang my shoes against something from the snow accumulating in the springs and effecting the grip on the ice but overall was pretty impressed would only use them for really slow runs though.
