I'm looking at this as a kind of "do it all shoe" but I'm concerned by the weight. I tried it months ago on a long run and thought it was a bit cumbersome. Currently on a 19 minute 5k and improving after 5/6 months of running.

I usually like Nike shoes, and the Pegasus was always one of those shoes I could recommend to people for a solid trainer. But not this one. The 37 is not great.
I agree with you, cumbersome is a good word. The shoe doesn't look like it, but it's clunky to run in. The weight, the fit is weird, the heel slippage, just adds up to a cumbersome experience. The only good thing I can say about it is that it's a nice looking shoe.
I would look elsewhere for a tempo and race shoe. There are so many options these days that you shouldn't have to settle.
This is not a do it all shoe. I’ve done tempos in them and it’s just not enjoyable. Pretty hard to pick up the pace in them.
This is not a tempo or race shoe.
It’s actually a very comfortable shoe (for me).
It’s heavy, and it’s a bit clunky like the other poster said. It’s not very responsive. The air bags give you a little bit on toe off but definitely nothing to write home about.
They aren’t super cushioned.
All that being said, I like to use them in my shoe rotation for easy days when my legs aren’t bagged from the previous workout or a mid week long run. Unfortunately nothing else.

Just grab the 35s from a Nike outlet or something. Way cheaper and better all around shoe. I use them for tempos and they work great.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
