I have around 40 miles on mine and the carbon rods are starting to show... wonder how much mileage people will be able to get on them before another version releases.
7.9 oz ? Kind of clunky, but as I say...it's the athlete not da shoe what makes a great runner!

The new hot pinks or original white/orange design? Grabbed a pair today to try. Disappointing to hear this.
It's been out for quite some time already, not really "now"...
Saw a video of a Rod poking through the foam ... but it got yanked from youtube . Guess big companies can get this stuff done . fyi . It is hard to do what Nike has done with R&D .

4 years late. There is no new science - just replacing the plate with "rods" which was probably an IP workaround. The upper looks like it is 1-1 from the $80 XCS shoe?

Really wondering how this is creating an interest at all.
I guess there are too many Nike blindbois around here huh? Guess this forum is ruled mostly by american fanbois.
Adidas made a great shoe. Its selling out. And people are loving it. Hate to bring it to ya...
Adidas has and will always have an answer.
Adidas dominated the running market during many years and it will do so again eventually.
People dont care for human rights and eco friendly products too it seems. The american market is all sorts of screwed up is like trying to please donkeys.

.Are you serious? For Americans not a winner of a cheesy “raffle” 2 months ago and regular joes, yes, in fact, it did drop only yesterday. Why the fûck does everyone feel the need to argue about literally EVERYTHING here?
"The answers to the 4%" - Dude this is like the 5th "answer" Adidas has had, I don't even have a pair and can still tell they won't work just by looking at them.
The thing that makes the 4% / next % and Alphafly so good is the damn foam, not the carbon plate. Until another company can make a similar foam, Nike will continue to win.
Maybe I'm missing something, but it's hard to see how an 8 oz. shoe is going to be faster than a 6.6 oz. shoe (VF 4%) that's also cushioned and has a plate. Weight matters a lot!
How do they fit? true to size?

Bolded the part you said that stands out. adidas used to be innovative ahead of its time, back in the 80s/90s/early 2000s. If you count things that Reebok was putting out, then the total umbrella company was crushing it.
But as you said, adidas has an answer. They are no longer the ones to bring something new that disrupts the industry. It also took them.... 4 years to have an answer?
Look at the outsole rubber. It's totally smooth. Complete overlook, good luck turning in that.
The rods are a complete patent workaround, and it's showing that they add weight.
I don't understand how these are legal given that they have six rigid bodies embedded in the midsole. I thought the new ruling only allowed for one rigid body.

Thought it was specifically defined as a "plate" so they get around it by calling it a rod.
I've thought about making a video about the wear on the bottom but reading above I'd like to not have a video get pulled off Youtube...

That right there is the funny part of your post. You will never be the leader by "always have an answer". Adidas could not even react faster than other brands - they are last of the major brands to give their answer and their answer isn't even new it just doubles off the theory Nike did. Thats not being a fanboi - its called being realistic and facing facts.

The foam isn't Nike's, and other companies already use it. Pebax elastomers make foam and plates that a bunch of major brands use. I know i have Reebok's that are pebax/zoomx foam and yes the foam is great, but it's the combo of a carbon plate with the foam that's a big deal.

It isn't Nike's foam.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
