Sperka will most definitely be the start of an amazing class for the badgers-I am also very interested by the super group Ohio state is picking up-one of the most slept on big 10 teams that is for sure to come back big from last years accomplishments!

Additionally, I agree-Michigan and Michigan State will pick who they want-time is never an issue for such strong programs, they have the pick of whoever they want

UM and MSU have all the time they want to pick who they want? How do you figure if most of the top 2021 recruits have been picked up by other schools already?

They’re such a powerful program, they probably have many international/sleeper athletes to cover what they can’t get in state/@home

The more important question is who is staying and extending eligibility? Perhaps the schools with less recruits are bringing their top established runners back for an extra year.

Oh for sure, I cannot see how any program with the opportunity to return super seniors who are GUARANTEED NCAA success would opt out of that-it shows which programs have a depth of seniors or upperclassmen with great preformances available.

The problem is that some schools can afford more scholarships than others. The cap is being temporarily lifted which will allow the richest schools to dominate. Imagine if a school can fund 20 men's scholarships for the next year.

Thats fascinating-I was not aware of that. Do you think that going to give schools less in a financial crisis due to covid right now a bigger head start over traditional powers who are hurting like Minnesota?

I have to assume that the conferences that played football this fall will have more money than other conferences. Big 10 is starting up but probably fell far behind some of the other P5s.

sure, I'd see programs like big 12 and SEC having the best shot revenue wise as of late-however I haven't seen any CRAZY commitments there yet

So what? They may have their big name, big scholarship runners sticking around an extra 2 years. There is no reason to load up on the frond end right now.

true that-with the covid cancellations no team is exactly pressed for time as of late

No school is flush with cash right now. Assume scholarships aren’t being expanded and places with returning super super seniors have less room to bring in new recruits. Top tier recruits will be ok. The rest will be walking on or going to lesser programs that don’t have upper tier talent coming back.
