Definitely not. That time he ran a bit over 3 miles at 4:02 pace was him running absoultely flat out. 5th gear. Full on sprint. He cannot and never would be able to no matter how much he trained. Not enough natural speed.

Yeah. And that time years ago when he ran a 3:37 he was absolutely gassed at the end and at hit his endurance limit. Would not have been able to go further no matter how much he trained.

Is this serious? Yes. I'm sure he can.
No, he would stop just short because his Garmin 35 GPS is off.
He could run 4 times 3:59 with 2min rest in between and call it a good workout.
Seems he's maxed out at a 3:37 1500. So whatever that converts to a mile.
With or without wavelight?

Those are 1600s so he wouldn't break 4 for the mile
What about taking down the 3,000 meter WR? Is it too untouchable ?
He'd probably run 3:47.9-3:50.5
Cheptegei good for jogging around 4+ minutes miles repeatedly. Not so good for a fast mile.
Certainly wouldn't break the "gold standard" for a fast pro mile -3:50.
Sub 3:50 for sure

Converts to about 3:55
in reality 3:37 1500m runner should be able to go sub 4. I have seen a lot of college athletes with 1500 PRs slower than 3:37 who are sub 4 milers
He can run 2 miles in under 8 minutes!
Jacob and Jakob can do the same!

Nonsense!
Cheptegei can possible run at least 3:32 in a fast Monaco 1500m
I think you were actually serious when you posted this which says that you are no track fan. This is like asking if a high school boy can break 2 minutes in an 800 if he runs 4:02 in the mile.
This has to win the end of year award for 'stupidest thread of 2020'
I agree that he would be somewhere in the 3:48-3:52 range.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
