How many current US guys can/have run under 13:05? I’m talking about the people besides the posters here.
How many have done it this season?
How many Tinman bros?

I actually did a 5k tempo in about 13:42 today so I probably could.
Jokes aside I’d think very few. Under 20 right?
at least three guys from BTC
Only 7 guys ran faster than that this year (all countries combined). Ok, it’s a COVID year and the year is not over.
However, in 2017 only 8 guys ran faster than 13:06, so yes, it’s insane.

That depends. Would the Americans be allowed to get on the same stuff Chepte is on?
If that was the case, then perhaps 14,000?

Thank you Joshua. I love watching the anti-Africans come out.
The Russian list is better tho. Let me quote an Instagram account I follow...here it is:
What did Tinman do to personally offend so many of you?
Merber outlined it roughly on Twitter. You basically need to have been in an Olympic/World 5k final to be able to run 13:05 or have the potential to go that fast.
This record also isn't about America being bad at distance running. Not many people, from any country, can run 13:05, in a given year. It's about this record being really, really good.

Forgot Mead. Jenkins and Hill both ran 13:05, on pace for a 26:11, so you could possibly include them. Calling it right now, no Tinman athlete will ever go under 13:05, not even Drew.

Pretty good. I wasn’t intending to slam US pros or Tinman bros.
The 10k WR represents the PEAK in HUMAN PERFORMANCE. 26:11, this could in fact be the most incredible WR. This is the stepping stone to SUB 26! Whether it’s Joshua or someone else, someone is thinking about breaking 26... it’s a fraction of a second away.
For our US runners they saw how relaxed a 13:05 can look. Hopefully it can change their perspective on how difficult something like that can be.
Can someone post the all time US list?
here are the top ten US times

Lol. Yes. The 10k WR is the peak of human performance in the 10k.

It is not a fraction of a second away, in fact it is a little over 11 seconds away.

My pace is 5% slower when I double distances. So I'd figure that anyone that can run a 10K at WR pace * 1.05 could doa 5K at the 10K WR pace

My bad, a fraction of a second per 400m away from sub 26! That’s maybe a couple quicker steps per lap... Joshua is basically there!
And 26:11 is very exciting. In the 90s they were barely breaking 27... that’s 25+ years ago of progression!
What will we see first and What order will these barriers be broken-
Sub 9 100m
Sub 19 200m
Sub 40 400m
Sub 1:40 800m
Sub 3:25 1500m
Sub 3:40 mile
Sub 12:30 5000m
Sub 26 10000m
Sub 2 Marathon in regular race

In other words, I think anyone that can run a 10K in 27'30" should be able to do a 5K in 13:05. However, the pace calculator at marathon guide dot com says 27'26". So, probably just these 11:
