Men’s size 13 shoe
6’0”
165lbs
Not super fast, but not super slow. PB for a half is 1:38:00 (~7:30/mile).
Been running only three years, including this 2020 “off season.”
Any suggestions from those with larger feet for an easy day/long run shoe?
My favorite was the Epic React, but that’s harder to find now, plus I’m interested in developments of new mid soles from other companies. For me, the React was great. Lasted around 500 miles, at size 13 it still weighed only 9.66oz, legs felt great after long runs, and I could even do some tempo and track work in it.
The issue I’m finding with newer shoes is though they have newer midsole technology, they’re getting heavier. The infinity run is claimed to be 9.6oz for a size 9. Believe in the run says a size 11 in the Endorphin Shift is 11.6oz.
Running stores are on limited supply as it is and it’s even worse for larger sizes. I prefer to not order from runningwarehouse, wear outside and return used. And I’ve listened to the YouTube regulars to get somewhat of an idea, but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. All of them praise every shoe and note BS like, “the heel collar on the previous version scrunched down when I put the shoe on.” Oh wow. Thanks for that useful piece of information. Never would’ve thought a heel collar would scrunch when sliding a big fat foot inside. Because of this genius insight, I WILL NOT BUY THEM NOW.
I digress. Any insight from my big foot brethren for 2020 models would be appreciated.

Thanks.
