What a bullsh&tter KB is.
Good riddance, fat Kenny.
He hasn’t trained well & was not in good shape according to earlier comment by the forum.
Don't think his heart was in it. He will only take Kipchoge on when he's 100%, rumours abound that he was disgusted that Kipchoge had a shoe especially tailored for him also.
Crazy...i heard on sources that Eliud Kipchoge wants an opening split of 60:30-60:45 if rain abates. I wonder if it has anything to do with it
It's a pointless race anyway.

I mean you're running 26.2 miles on a multiple loop course, only to wind up back where you started at each time. That's the very definition of pointless...or at least "Going nowhere fast"

If this is a pointless race then what race would you consider meaningful or useful?

You think this means retirement for him, or will he try for the Tokyo Olympics 2021?
Bekele is out of the London marathon.
discus.
Not a fake one going around in loops with no crowd.

So all of the track races this year were pointless as well?
I'm surprised people still have high expectations for Bekele at this point. Long distinguished careers do come to an end.
Love Eliud but there's no way he's breaking the WR by 30 seconds on Sunday. Wet, windy day, 4 tightish turns each loop, no crowds. He'll be doing well to break 2:03 in my book

As opposed to all those profoundly meaningful ones in all other years.
KB was not ready, and I think the fact that his records are all being wiped out be Cheptegei probably bothers him more than racing Kipchoge, who is always prepared.
Why would you risk flying out to London if injured? Poor management.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
