The NFL combine record is 51 reps. I can only do 14. What about you guys?

I can bench 260 (on a machine (with bad form)) at 6'0 and 216
Without question zero, it would probably crush my throat and I would die.
The OP can do zero.

0 right now. I did 195lbs twice last year at a 162 or so body weight.
It would be a good goal for me, however, the gym I've been going to is very, very loud.
The leg press/squat machines make so much noise and people wear ear buds, ignorant of the noise they make. I complained, asking for people who do those excercises to book their slots separate from others. Doubtful that will happen.
I've decided to take a break from the gym and may just buy my own bench press table at some point, or find a quieter gym.
On a lark, fooling around and tired.....Brian Shaw does 44. My guess he could do 55-60 if he actually trained for it like the guys in the combine do.

I bench once a week. I'll do 225 x 5 as a 42 yr old.

With you guys on this, post a vid OP. 14 would probably be pretty good, in general, and the smaller you get as a person, the impressive it gets.
I never tried it and with I did. I got my max up to 335/340 a couple points in my life, and I might have been capable of as high as 350/355 at one point but I wasn't at a testing point at that time so I cant say that officially; I wonder how many 225s could have gotten at those points. I'm not sure I'll ever attempt building my bench up like that again, so I might have missed the boat on that.
I know I used to do a workout of 145x10, 205x8 225x6, 225x6, and then finish with 145xfail where I would get the 145 up to around 22/25ish times. But I never tried to rep out at 225. I have no idea how to extrapolate a 340ish max to a 225 rep out, either. On a whim I would think it would translate well, but I remember what 145 used to feel after about 20 reps.....so, maybe I would have gotten less than I realize.

What can you do with one arm and what's your hand timed 10 yard dash?
Power lifting threads without a running performance within 12 hours are boring.
Today, zero reps of 225 pound bench press. Up until five or six years ago, one or two reps of 225 pounds.
when i cared about lifting i could do 225 ten times. I could now do maybe 1, probably zero.

I don't disagree, but the OP is claiming they can "only" do 14. Without a video, they are just like the rest of us.
It is a little odd that the NFL uses 225 as the standard, at least for the bigger guys. Unless you train for high reps you will tire before long even with a light weight.
Bench was my weak lift, but I could do 315 for 8. Drop it to 225 and I'd still probably tire after 18 or so. I mostly did 3-5 reps and rarely more than 8.
Some powerlifters have done 315 for around 50 reps...
My record was 20 x 225lbs at about 185lbs bodyweight.
Now I just do push-ups with a weight vest
Waiting for Matt London to chime in.
He’s always calling me a Twink.
In college 12 now goose egg.
Maybe 1 who knows but probably zero.
40 lbs difference in weight from when I was in college without hitting the gym in 6 months will do that.
0.0, Mr. Blutarsky.
Each week before the Covid crisis shut my gym, I was doing one lifting workout, one body-weight & balance workout and one medicine ball & jumps workout. For my lifting workout, I usually manage just 3 sets of (6 x 135 lbs) or 4 to 5 sets of (4 x 135 lbs) on the bench. I'm 6'3", 170 lbs, 58 years old and wear a 36 sleeve. Those long arms aren't doing me many favors on the bench.
I can do 210 once... I’m 165 lbs and run a 4:20 mile tho so using the matt London converter tool I should be able to do about 15-20 if I did linebacker training
I once did 4 reps
I was 140lbs, 5’9”
