As someone hoping to run in the 15:30's on the track to close out 2020 I am curious as to what some of the tell-tale signs were for running this sort of time from those that have done it.
Anyone willing to share mileage and key workouts leading up to the performance?
Based on my current plan... some of the workouts in the final 6 week leading up to the target TT date are below. Curious as to what people think.
6 weeks out:
12x400 w/ 400 jg
6x1600 (LT pace) w/ 1' rest + 4x200 w/ 200 jog
5 weeks out
5 hard, 1 float, 5 hard as part of 16 mile LR
4x1600 w/ 400 jg
4 weeks out:
3 tempo, 4x200 w/ 200 jg, 2 tempo
10 hard as part of 16 mile LR
3 weeks out:
6x1000 w/ 400 jg
5k TT
2 weeks out:
3k TT
Fast Finish LR
Week of:
1500 TT
5kTT
Curious as to peoples thoughts on how these look.
