Some 10 years ago, I purchased a Skechers shoe called the Skechers Resistance Runner SRR:
The shoe had a flexing plastic oval shape (which was labeled the 'Kinetic Return System') in the midsole that was surrounded by some heavy but rubbery-mushy foam. These were probably the most shock absorbing shoes I have ever worn, and I put many miles on them when marathon training in the concrete jungle. Each shoe was close to 1 pound in weight, which added to the training affect (though some might argue that is too much weight and could negatively affect gait mechanics).
Recently I had my first experience with Hyperburst, in the Razor 3. (The following video describes what Hyperburst is:

So...I just had a brainstorm inspiration! What if Skechers were to bring back a lightweight 'Kinetic Return System' made from a carbon fiber oval shape, and surround it with just the right amount of Hyperburst? Maybe they would have a worthy competitor to the Alphafly!
