I've been running in the Asics Cumulus for about 3 years now and loved them, until the Cumulus VII came out. It feels like a totally different shoe, much firmer. Anyone else experience this? What would be a good alternative, ie something that is similar to the previous Cumulus?

Today I noticed the forward-most section of the sole peeling away from the upper sole. I have about 75 miles on them. I hope glue works because I don't have the receipt and I'm nowhere near the store where I bought them.
actually, the newest cumulus has a lower durometer midsole, so it should be softer.
