They used to have a Team Time Trial but that type of event was not included this year.
Come on folks, the Tour is the most diverse event out there. It has never rested on it's laurels. There have been tours when virtually every stage was a team time trial. Then there have been tours where there were like 6 ITT, and some of them up to 100 miles long!
Tours where there were no trade teams but rather by country, then back, then back again. Tours where individuals could ride, for the right price. Tours where you could drop out, and come back a few days later, but couldn't ride for the GC.
The tour is ever changing, and the only certainty, is that it will change again.
Also, Pogacar was Solvenian TT champion beating Roglic just a couple weeks prior (and convincingly). I actually thought Pogacar would make up the 57 seconds, but only "just barely" and maybe we'd break the record for closest tour ('89 by 8 seconds, also from an unbelievable TT).
