This is a race, not a tempo. It’s also 6 miles not 10k.
according to Strava, it was 30:54 for 6 miles, which is 32 flat 10K pace. It's at altitude, so that's very good. Good workout.
These guys should all be running 10k in 29:00 or better. At altitude, that's 30-30:30 for these lowlanders. So 32 is not good at all. Yes the last 3 miles were solid, but not the whole run.

Aren't tempos normally evenly paced? They ran the first 3 miles rather leisurely than hammered the last 3 miles. Doesn't seem like a tempo run.

Key word you forgot - "Progressive."
The first 2 miles were probably easy, middle 3 at a good pace and the last mile at a push.

??? WTF are you on, they are NCAA runners, not professionals. 32 at altitude, ON GRAVEL, as a PROGRESSIVE WORKOUT is a great time. Let's see your last month of training then bud and how your times compare.

I am not sure who the other 2 runners were with Cooper at the end but if it was just a progressive run, why were the other top runners like Reed Brown nowhere in sight at the end.
