His season peak was in August, since then he could only run a 3:33 1500m.
Had he run a 3000m in August with maybe a little more emphasis on aerobic even if it impacts a little his 1500m shape , and he would have run easily 2 seconds faster and ran a 7:25. maybe even 7:24:XX.

He is still in top shape. Maybe half a sec to a sec faster if he raced less before it but not guaranteed.
