if you trained through and still kept your intense mileage at high enough levels, no problem, especially with some of those TTs being shorter distances. I would train through the first couple 5ks and ratchet down for the last two.
However it goes, you will learn something from it. some people thrive from constant racing. Maybe you will be one of them.
Agreed. In HS we were racing 2-3 events on Wednesday and 2-3 events on Saturday during the track season.
I would try to be very specific with your race goals for the 5Ks. Something beyond, "run as quickly as possible." Maybe one race it's to start conservatively and try to run a big negative split, maybe another it's in a race you think you can place highly and you just run for place, not time. Every race is a bit of an experiment, so controlling as much as you can about the execution can make it easier for you to come out of the race with something to gauge outside of just the final time.
