What sort of training should someone do in the last two weeks before a half marathon?
I have read that the last three week before a full marathon a good rough plan is 66-75% of normal mileage three weeks out, 50% the second last week, and 25-33% the last week.
For my goal half, I'm thinking of doing a two week taper, with about 66% of normal the second last week and 33-50% the last week.
Also, when should be the last hard effort. For one week out, I'm thinking of 30min run at half marathon pace or a bit faster, and then maybe 6x800 at pace the Tuesday before the race.
