6.97 in 60m at 6'0 and 208. PR. Hand timed. Previous PR was 7.06 hand timed.
A normal time in this for me is anywhere from 7.17 to 7.43 hand timed. And I used to run 7.50 to around 7.75 hand time on bad days. So this is rare for me to get down this low in this. There was a right to left wind of around 10mph blowing across the track. Didn't seem to be really helping me though since it was right to left.
The warmup was
10 yard dash- .78 which ties my PR.
20yds- 2.00. PR. Previous PR was 2.01
35 yds- 3.59. PR. Previous PR was 3.72
40yds- 4.19. PR. Previous PR was 4.32 or 4.34.
Did a few of each of those with rest times of 3 to 6 mins or so. So PRs in everything on the warmups.
Then did 2 of the 60s with a 8 min rest in between. The second 60 was 7.00.
Still need to continue to get the fat off of my core. The only way to do that is to lift heavier on it. So i'll have to really go all out in seated abs and lower back and go for some heavier 1,2, and 5 rep maxes on that.
Overall my power to weight ratio is getting better. Like I said before this is the first year that i've combined a low body weight of 208-210 and strictly sprinting below 60meters.
Did 22 years of distance running and 400s from 1993 till 2015. But 2015 I was 225-230 or so. In 2016 I was 235-242 or so. In 2017 I was 244-249 or so. In 2018 I was 264-271 or so. And in 2019 I was 221-228 or so.
Still have a very long ways to go to get this faster. Just hand timed on this so I don't know how this compares to an FAT right now. I'll have to get a video of me in blocks in this to get a more accurate idea. I do a rock back and then rocking forward motion before I start so it's tough to get an idea of where i'm taking off. But I started just looking at my right foot and where that takes off since it's my first foot to come off the ground.
