So I come from an 800m racing background and could hit 1:56 at my best. Had a respectable 400 split in 50.2 (relay) and could run a 1600 in 4:23. This was in my peak shape from HS with lower mileage. Ran off time back then but would guess it was 25-35 most weeks. Im now 22, graduated from college after running for fun on my club team but really focusing on school.
what would equivalent times in road races (5k/10k/half/full) be for a 1:56 800m performance? online calculators seem to overestimate this putting it at sub 2:20 in the full but that seems to be way more impressive to me than my 800 mark. I don't think I can get back to my 800m shape, and don't really have the desire to. But I want to know what sort of longer term goal I should be looking at for the longer races to shoot for.
