My group of friends and I are doing a virtual time trial. We all ran 800m on the track. Please rank the following efforts based on background and training load
Friend 1- ran a 2:07 GPS split 2:05x watch split. He's a great runner and this was done at altitude during an 80 mpw cycle. Recently ran 15:30s at 5000ft.
Friend 2- ran a 2:13 watch split- he's about 195 lbs (30-40 lbs over race weight) and trained about 2 weeks for this effort. Was a one time 3:48 1500m runner. IMHO this is the superior effort.
Friend 3- ran a 2:19.88 (2:20 GPS) he's a stroller dad-runs about 30-35 miles a week but lives the pro lifestyle (works from home and his wife is a pro marathoner). Somehow in his career he ran 14:5x which was close to a miracle.
Friend 4- ran a 2:19x watch split (2:20 GPS) with zero run training in the past 8 years. Was a professional cyclist for a few years but now is a retired cart pulling dad who only rides his bike on bike paths
