I keep seeing ads on line, but I don't really know anything about the company.
Anyone tried them out?

I haven't, but I should have a pair coming soon of the Kyori. Like you, I've been getting blasted by ads - really excited to see. Glad they've turned away from all zero-drop stuff. I remember their stuff as being really high quality!
They were big a few years ago when the zero-drop craze took over and were advertised as being high build quality and extremely durable. Then (this part I'm not entirely sure about, read with a grain of salt) the company either went bankrupt and got bought out, went through a leadership structure change, and came back with a different focus in the last year or so.
I know the Tempo was the big breakthrough for them following the success of the Fit and was a Kinvara-type shoe. I remember the guys use to take them to 1,000+ miles which I thought was stupid... just because the no-midsole shoes can go that far for obvious reasons doesn't mean you should do the same with the Tempo. But it worked for a lot of people and that's just my personal opinion.
Even though I won't be buying I am always excited to see a brand either enter or re-enter the space with some new product.
just looked up the Kyori... 11oz... yikes
