Some of these schedules are super simplistic for college/ pro team. The UCLA XC's log looks like it was copied from Daniel's training log with the basic 8x400, 20 min tempo runs.

maybe there is a lot that is very individualized, and those are just the bones of what they are working off of. Maybe they add a little nuance depending on what group you are working in?
or maybe they just think the bread and butter classic workouts are good enough.

Yes. Everything else is high school related, however. But they are good, and I feel really show the trends to why some programs are perpetually at a national level versus others. (I AM working on a different little project that has to do with this topic).
I'm really busy with work and other side projects, but I've also been really lazy when I do have free time. I will try to get some out there. Whenever these threads get bumped it usually gives me a little kick in the butt to work on them.

It’s pretty much the exact same, except they do Threshold workouts twice in a day, instead of once in a day now. Right now they are doing a speed work block which is just the VO2 and R workouts they do but only that instead of Threshold weekly.

Is it really that surprising though? For the most part doing the same proven training plan consistently will get you almost as far as you can go. At that point its about making small changes and tweaking to individual weak areas. It's not going to be sweeping changes.

They are simple workouts - but hardly looks like it was copied from Daniels' RF
