There was some wind in the back (I would say +2m/s). I had to face the wind at the start of the 200s.
I run a 400m on Saturday. Can I run sub 55? sub 54?
I have never run a 400 before except one in a relay but I don't know my time.
I am a 800m runner and this was my first speed session after base phase.
from 800 guys i've had with similar workout ability, I would say 54.xx is a possibility. not faster. but i'd assume somewhere in the 55-57 range.
Everything was all out except the 200s.
200s were at what I imagine 400 pace is with last 50m all out.
what is your 800 pr?
my 800 PR is 1.59 but is was a long time ago.
Now I think I'm around 2.04 shape with 0 specific workout and should be around 2.00 in a month with some 800 training.
I've run several times sub 60 400 in 800 workouts in the past so I would be very disappointed with anything above 55 high.
I don't think I can break 54 either but I have to say that I did this workout on tired legs.
I hope 54.xx is doable.
with that 800 background, 54.xx is very realistic. guts certainly shouldn't be a problem
