Not scared of being hit, but more of being targeted by a soccer mom’s angry husband.
Went for a run this morning at my usual time (5:30 so I can be done before work), and as I ran past a neighborhood, someone rolls the stop sign of the cross street and would’ve hit me if I hadn’t stopped short and jumped to the side. I smacked the side of the car (not sure why) and yelled something to the effect of, “watch out, a$$hole, you almost hit me.” Although it’s dark at that time, I wear an LED belt (I used to make fun of it when my wife bought it, but it’s grown on me), so I should’ve been plainly visible had the driver looked.
The car pulled over, and someone got out to check and see if the car was dented (it wasn’t). Nothing was said, and everyone went on their way.
Now I’m concerned that I’ll be instantly recognizable for the rest of time since I’m usually the only person running at this time of day, and definitely the only one with an LED belt. Am I being paranoid that this person may have an angry husband with a gun collection?
