I read a lot about broken LT-Training like 4 x 1 mile or 2 x 2mile. with very short rest.
Even if I do them at the right pace not to fast not to slow I dont get the same good benefit like a 4 mile steady run even if the steady run is harder. the next days I feel tougher and my time-trials are faster.
Why so many coaches recommend the cruise intervals?
the ingebrigtsen do them too instead of the steady state run. But I respond better to the standard steady "no breaks" tempo-run.
What are the benefits of the broken tempo-run.
more volume, less stress. (I KNOW) but why does the steady run feel better and afterwards you are not the exhausted and feel fresh ???
