And it’s an election year, coincidence? I think not.
Runny noses kills more sheeple.
Why isn't Trump making it happen then?
Grant? Do you mean the President that was given one slave from his in-laws, even though he opposed slavery? and then released the one slave when he (Grant) left for the military?
Even though he despised slavery and fought to abolish it?
And now liberals are destroying his statues all over America?
Do you mean that Grant?

USATF is a spineless, mismanaged, and corrupt organization that does not have the best interest of the sport, the athletes, and the fans at the top of its priorities.
More democrat sponsored cancel culture nonsense.
If they actually cared, they could've held it in a [Republican] state that hasn't locked down, such as South Dakota
Where is your source for these alleged USATF champs in 1876 or thereabouts? Link to results pleas.
I don't believe a national federation existed yet. Running did, yes, but the big time stuff was more promotion-oriented like boxing, and also happened in the shadow of the ultra-walking "pedestrianists"

Hey, you remembered to use "sheeple"! Great job! Now we are assured that your post is coming from someone of superior intellect and impeccable character.
This was only announced hours ago. Way to get on the breaking story
I'm not going to be too upset that they're putting safety first during all of this. I mean, look at the NBA. They have every resource at their disposal & people are still testing positive.
I do hope that they considered every possibility. It seems as though Hayward could have been made into a natural bubble. Test athletes before they come & when they get there. Limit coaches. Have them stay in dorms -- every athlete could have a floor to themselves. They have the food facilities.
I could have seen something like that working. The world is desperate for sports. It would have been a chance to spotlight the athletes but I'm sure USATF listened to experts and didn't trust themselves to make it happen safely.
Yet the NFL goes ahead?

None of whom are actually sick as far as I know
Last article I saw showed no one had tested positive in the bubble. The NBA players that tested positive got it doing whatever it is they were doing before reporting to work and were not allowed in the bubble.
This is so dumb, the event could easily have been organized such that not a single participant would be in an at risk group - both competitors and officials. A car crash while travelling to the event would have been the biggest risk factor for participants. It's two months away, pretty much every state will have had an actual peak by then, and be on the downside, little impact on COVID growth, this isnt that complicated.
We have gone collectively crazy in this country, with little hope for the future, as when this particular craziness subsides we will have an emboldened all Democrat government with a figurehead leader. We will transition from the COVID crisis to the extreme public health crisis of global warming and racism to implement massive social change. The media will do nothing to help us poor citizens but rather bolster the political parties further.
Honestly this completely insane cancellation, which has no basis whatsoever with the data we have at this point in time, has me feeling that the stupidly of the vast majority of people will result in a Venezuelan type future for America.

Grant worked and farmed in the field alongside his freed slave.
Even without the pandemic, why is there no Dana White like figure for USATF. I am on social media/internet quite a bit and never hear of any effort or creative ideas from Max Siegel or Vin about trying to get races going. They both seem like they have added some value to the sport in general so I do not mean be a total hater but still, where is the leadership that actually cares about the sport? TF/XC seems like one of the few sports that could still be taking placer and should have been seizing the opportunity while all the other mainstream sports are on haitus.
This is where USATF shows its incompetence in leadership and thought. If ISTAF Berlin can go forward, so can the USA Championships. There is a complete lack of creativity and effort. No one in USATF wants to work. I wish we could clean house and create a new federation. USATF needs to be defunded. We can’t even invest in a Ranking 10 website. We are so behind.
I hope the cancel the Super Bowl.. This ain't right.. I'm still looking forward to the Diamond League..
