There are probably 200 women in the world who can right now run sub-14:30 and the same number of men who can run sub-12:50. It's not special shoes or amazing coaching or doping.

I pray for whichever company allows you to program the business logic into their code base.
For starters, there are over 100 women who can run in the 1:04-1:06/2:14-2:18 range who could easily run sub-14:30 if they spiked up and did some quarter repeats for a few weeks
Pray in one hand, shlt in the other and see which one fills up first.

+1. Or was that thread just some pathetic attempt to have people say something nice about you?
Jamin, your claim is clearly retarded but i`m going to give you a little insight into exactly how dim it is anyway.
#199 on the iaaf world rankings list for 5000m last year (2019) was Mohamed Jelloul.
Ran 13:58 and 13:59 as well as an 8:00 3k PB. Fastest 5000 was 13:47. A fine athlete, respectable times but realistically a sub-elite who is nearly a minute from a 12:50 clocking.
Heck, lets take a look at #100 on the world rankings list for 2019. Marius Vedvik, 7:56 3k and a 13:29 PB. His all-time best for 3k is 7:54. Another great athlete, with personal bests many on this board would kill for, but a far cry from a 12:50 man.
I am aware that the so-called "world rankings" are not particularly accurate or fair at all, so lets go to alltime-athletics.com. where we'll see that there have been exactly 29 sub-12:50 performances. Ever.
Obviously your point is that more could do if they bothered to try which makes sense. Farah and Lagat at one time were worth at least 12:45, I'd put money on Caleb Ndiku (12:59, WC silver), John Kibowen (12:54 with 53.xx close in 2003 WCs) or El Guerrouj (12:52 with 53.xx close) to go sub 12:50 (El G probably 12:40), but your post talked about current 5000m athletes.
Alright then. Who could run sub-12:50 this year who hasn't already?
-Muktar Edris probably could if towed along in the right race.
- Telahun Bekele, most certainly, seeing as he closed a 12:52 race in 54.xx.
- Jakob Ingebrigtsen, mayyyyybe, in absolutely perfect conditions. 13:02 closig in sub-54 is solid.
There aren`t any others that stand out to me as potential sub-12:50 men right now.
Okay, so in conclusion, are there guys who could run sub 12:50 who haven`t?
Yeah of course, several probably, but not 200, and not right now.
Now go and get a life. Stop trolling these boards, quit daydreaming about Ukranian hotties and cease whining about how women don`t like you.
Peace, and have a nice, productive day.
You're underestimating the performances of the Bowerman dudes. But yes, there are people in the world who would beat them in a race, not 200 though, not 50.

Well which one is it....
Your replies please, jamin.
