I bought a pair of 34s from a Nike outlet store (okay, maybe that’s my first mistake), and they’re falling apart after 80 miles!! What?? I thought these were supposed to be a reliable trainer. By falling apart, I mean the black rubber undersole is ripping from the white midsole. Some strong glue will likely do the job, but still. Disappointed in Nike. Guess I’ll stick with my tried-and-true Adidas Solar Glides.
I've gone through 3 pairs of 35s and they all got to ~900km with no damage apart from some worn down outsole.

I have had similar issues with upper and lower separation, or upper side blowout with Peg Turbos (although not after 80 miles). Check out the NB Fuelcell Prism for a similar shoe. Too soon to say whether its more durable, but it feels like a similar shoe to me and I have generally had good luck with NB durability.
Nike jumped the shark after the whole Kaepernick thing. Can't stand their products or their politics.

Pegs last a long time but peg 34s are already 3 years old by this point. Rubber breaks down after a certain point hence tires are only good for 6 years regardless of how much used. Uppers etc also don't last forever.
dude if you just bought peg 34s those shoes are ~3 years old. Yeah, the materials are already beyond a shelf life, even just sitting in a box. What did you think was going to happen?
Sounds like my last pair of NB which I will never buy again after over twenty years buying (990's) without question. They were literally junk and began to fall apart in less then 6 months. The uppers are way too light and insubstantial. They totally changed the design and materials.
Switched to Hoka (Gaviota) at a recommend and it was worth it. Superior quality.
