I was going to order it but I have returned so many shoes from various manufacturers recently that I didn't want to take the chance of another return right now. These other shoes all were the new "novel foams" and they were all a disappointment to me. The squishy foam is like running in sand.
However, I hope to try the Hyperion Tempo in the future after my current pair of shoes wear out.
I haven't tried them yet but the idea behind the foam is much the same as Skechers Hyperburst and I really like that in the GoRun 7 Hyper. Looks like the upper is much better on the Brooks.
There’s a brook behind my house in Delaware but I call it a creek.
Best shoe Brooks has put out in a long time! Fits like a glove and the perfect amount of cushioning and responsiveness. Way better than anything skechers has due to better fitting upper.
I agree! The Brooks Hyperion Tempo rocks! It just wants to run fast!
I'm on my third pair of them. Use them for every type of run and am doing about 70 miles a week. Best shoe I've even run in. Feet and legs feel fresh in them after hard track workouts or long runs. Highly recommend!
How many miles are you getting out of a pair?
Excellent shoe
I'd strongly recommend this shoe. Before the Hyperion Tempo was released my every-day trainer for 4+ years was the Kinvara and I was not able to find another shoe that suited me better. But, after switching to the Tempo idk if I'll ever go back to Kinvaras...the Tempo is that good of a shoe [at least for me].
To note, I was able to put about 400-450 miles on a pair of these shoes before I felt the need to replace them. They were substantially more durable than I had expected.

Agree with @Desert Trash. I've gotten around 400 out of mine but a teammate has over 600 on his and the rubber is just starting to go bald.
A good everyday shoe or more suited for tempos/intervals?
It’s on the firmer side but I wear mine for anything from intervals to long runs. Comfortable enough to wear on the longest of long runs yet responsive enough for 400 repeats. The only downside I’ve found is the traction is below average on wet ground.
Stupidly light, I love the feel and response. Can’t comment on mileage as I’m only at 100 or so

what's wrong with you? you think it's okay to just try shoes and then return them over and over again? that kind of stuff gets you banned from certain websites and stores

No. The stores that I buy from allow me to try out a shoe for a period of time and if it doesn't work for me will let me choose another shoe that does. I guess what they found is that by doing this they make more money. If people know there is little risk to buying they will be much more inclined to buy. Some will abuse the system but it doesn't matter because the people who don't make it work.
How would you compare the Hyperion Tempo to the Launch? I've been doing long interval workouts, tempo runs, and even a few races in the Launch for a while now. But I see the Hyperion tempo is over 2 ounce lighter even with the same stack height (and 2 mm more in the forefoot). I'll need to replace my Launches soon, so maybe I'll give these a try.
