I feel it is unfair that your time in high school can ruin the rest of your life. If you don't get a scholarship in high school, you are stuck with debt for the rest of my life. I regret not doing any sports or clubs. I hate my life. Have you ever regretted not doing more in high school?
The best time of my life was doing the three weeks of summer XC training. It was so fun being around people on the XC team who were energetic and great to hang around with.
I regret not switching to swimming sooner.

TBH my HS years were pretty spectacular, especially the last two (at my third high school). With the benefit of hindsight I can come up with things that would have been kinda neat to do--including applying to certain colleges so I could say I turned them down for the place I ended up!--but about the only thing I truly regret, and only a little, is that I didn't go out for cross or track until my senior year.
I never liked phys ed and didn't go out for any sport until I was finally done with my p.e. requirement after my junior year.

First the story was you weren't able to make the xc team, now its that you were on it for 3 weeks? You're such a debbie downer and unpleasant to be around that the coach made a special rule just to cut you. Wow. Do something fun with your life while you wait for your online college classes to start. Explore and find some cool places to run, hang out with people from school, go to the beach, whatever. Your pity party isn't going to be productive for you.

Because I worked hard and couldn’t beat anyone and got injured.
only thing I regret not doing more of in high school was girls. To hell with jogging.
