9 Feet 0 inches and a quarter of an inch at 6'0 and 215 LBS.
Personal record.
My previous PR was 9 feet 0 inches done on July 4th 2019.
All this year I was stuck at right around 8 feet 8 and 8 feet 9. And I hadn't jumped anything over 8 foot 9 since July 4th 2019.
My power to weight ratio seems to be getting better.
One thing I did was do some fence speed jumps over the past week where I basically hold on to the fence with my hands and jump up and down as fast as I can for 5 reps.
I still need to work on getting the excess fat around my obliques, lower abs, butt, and lower back off. I went really heavy on all those areas last week and it seems to have worked in helping me jump farther.
Need to lift more weight at the gym in everything though this week as well. Really need to add another .21 of an inch to this.
I missed 490 for 1 about a week and a half ago so that screwed my streak of PRs up. And I missed a workout this past week so I now have to drop down to 470 for 1 this week and then see how that goes up and then maybe go for 475 for 1 and then start building back up from there. But everything else at the gym should be close to PR attempts.
I'm also going to see if I can get up a cheating 330 for 1 on leg curls on the lying leg curl machine with momentum. Pr right now is 320 for 1 on that.
Other things I need to focus on are going to be going heavier and heavier on smith calve raises and dumbbell calve raises and get back into doing my dumbbell between the feet straight leg lift to work the top of the hips.
Also need to go heavier on upper back to try and develop somewhat of a back. My entire upper back has been destroyed from distance running from 1993 till 2015. I can't develop any back muscles. The lactic acid accumulation effect from distance running prevented my back from ever growing out.
