10 years ago, I did an official VO2 max test. Since then (as recent as 2 years ago) I've done other simulated VO2 max tests. My heart rate never had reached over 172. However, recently dueing my workouts, my heart rate is elevating up to over 190. I believed that overtime, max HR would drop, but never increase. Is there a reasno for this? My resting heart rate has gone up from previously 35-40 to now 55-60. My HRV in the morning was also previously 75-80, and now is 55-65. This has occurred in about a 6 month period, with training remaining pretty consistent.
I will say I am on thyroid medication. Previously, this didn't impact my HR. However, since it was increased 6 months ago, this is around the time I noticed the change in my heart rate. Not sure if this is factoring into this.
