3.75 in the 35 yard dash at 6'0 and 215. Hand timed.
Gradually getting closer and closer to my PR of 3.72.
In the workout I ran 3.75, 3.78, 3.78, 3.78, and 3.88. So far this is now my best workout of the year in this. I'm accurate within the way that I hand time myself. So when I start stacking up 3.7s in a row then I know it's a good day.
A bad day in this would be me failing to break 4.00.
In the warmup I ran 2.06 in the 20 yard dash which again ties my PR of 2.06 in the 20.
I ran 2.06 two weeks ago. And ran it first in Dec 2019.
Gradually getting faster and faster as I keep getting PRs at everything at the gym
I made a huge effort tonight to get rid of the excess fat on my obliques and lower back. I did really heavy tension rubber band holds and really tried to squeeze the obliques as hard as I could. Did 5 full sets of that with 4mins in between to allow for quality over quantity. Just 1 rep all out though on each set.
I'm not going over 2 reps on anything at the gym right now. Not even doing 5 reps. I'll do 5 reps at the end of my workout in the winter. But might add in 5s here and there for seated bench and hack squats if I feel like i'm not getting anymore weight up. Sometimes the 5s work. I'll have to see.
I also went really heavy on abs tonight. I still need to get some more fat off to run faster. So this should do it a bit.
After the track workout I went to the gym and lifted. Didn't get everything done so then went back to the track and did a heavy rubber band workout. I was able to maintain upper body strength with the rubber band alone during the gym shutdown. So i'm not too worried about not getting everything done at the gym. Band tension is the best type of tension if you go heavy enough on it like I do. All out on everything. All the time.
