I've run in earlier versions of GoRun and they have been among my favourite shoes, cushioned enough for long runs and speedy enough for 5k runs. They've been spoilt by rubbish uppers in recent iterations, but the 7+ should be a return to form (They are not available in the UK, so I haven't tried them).
Since the GoRun uppers have been a let down, I've run in GoRun Ride 7 and 8 for long runs and Razor for shorter runs. The GoRun Ride 7 was a brilliant shoe for long run days, but the 8 has been a let down - it's a very dull uninspiring shoe in comparison.
So I'd definitely go for the GoRun 7+, it should be able to be everything the GoRun Ride 8 is, but better with added speed work.
I really like Skechers shoes, but I hate their availability. In the UK it's a real struggle to get hold of any of their performance shoes, so after 12 pairs of Skechers running shoes, I've finally moved away, and have started running in Reebok Floatride Run Fast shoes. The shoes are brilliant (more Razor contenders than GoRun, but I'm sure the Panthea would be a worthy contender) and in the UK we get ridiculous flash sales, I've got them for 70% (£33) and 50% (£55) off for the last two pairs.
