I just got a road bike, nothing fancy but you can get going pretty fast on it. Cycling in general seems to work my quads, hamstrings, and calves more than just about every run except for short repeats and races. I was wondering if it would be worth it to put in one or two quality bike sessions in per week with some surges or intervals, while dropping my running mpw from high 50s to 45ish. I think that this would help develop those muscles a bit more and help my kick and short range speed some. Thoughts?
